Concerto Day
2nd November 2025
CCMF were thrilled that Ely Sinfonia offered the opportunity for not one, but two of our
2025 Festival Outstanding Young Musicians to rehearse and perform concerti with
full orchestral accompaniment
The worthy winners of the opportunity were Sam Lewens, cellist, and Ellie Zhu, violinist.
A fantastic day was had by everyone on 2 November, with members of Ely Sinfonia absolutely blown away by the standard and enthusiasm of Ellie and Sam
Huge congratulations to the students and an even bigger thank you to everyone at Ely Sinfonia (special mention to Roz Chalmers & Steve Bingham) who worked so hard
and gave up their time to make the day such a success
