Jeneba Kanneh-Mason piano
Jaqueline Shave violin / director
Britten Sinfonia
Rising star Jeneba Kanneh-Mason is the soloist in Mozart’s exquisite and lyrical Piano Concerto No. 23.
Britten Sinfonia also performs Schubert’s Symphony No. 5, filled with grace and invention, Elena Kats-Chernin’s high-energy Fast Blue Village 5, and Robin Haigh’s superb Grin, commissioned by Britten Sinfonia and winner of an Ivor Novello Award, which brilliantly conveys “brutality through frivolity” by putting light and cheerful music through a “dark millennial haze”.
